Welcome to Miss Duca's Web Page Homework: Unless otherwise indicated, all homework is due at the start of class. No credit is given for late homework (except for absences). Materials: Please bring with you whatever literature we are reading, your homework, a writing utensil, and any relevant hand-outs. Absences/Make-Up Work: Please see me within three days of your return to school to make arrangements to make up missed quizzes and tests. Work/tests which are not completed will earn the grade 0. Writing Assignments: Unless otherwise noted, all essays are to be word-processed in 12pt font, double spaced. Late essays are accepted with a 10 point penalty; after three days, the grade is 0. For course credit, students must successfully complete 10 pieces of writing and an extended term project. Grading: Homework is graded on a check basis. One percentage grade is calculated at the end of the marking period. Quizzes count 1x. Tests count 3x. Writing Assignments count 5x.
